Manager/Supervisor

This is a full-time role for a Land Acquisition Manager. The Land Acquisition Manager will be responsible for managing land acquisition, infrastructure development, and project planning activities related to residential, commercial, & Industrial lots. The role is located in Edinburg, TX but will oversee Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, & San Antonio markets.

Ariva Homes is currently looking for a Land Acquisition Manager for their Operations Department. The right candidate will find, place under contract, receive governmental approval and close on new land that meets the division's needs. Develop raw land and install infrastructure to enable construction of homes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs and coordinate all land acquisitions and land development activities
• Develop business community relationships and scout other avenues for possible acquisitions
• Prepare land valuation analysis and corporate budgets
• Develop policies for usage, sale of properties and the construction schedule
• Negotiates the acquisition of properties with landowners, attorneys or brokers
• Prepare memoranda and other documentation and analytics for corporate approval for land buys
• Manage due diligence process on land acquisition opportunities, including initial master planning work in close coordination with internal design and land development teams
• Manage, coordinate resources for and meet all entitlement needs for land acquisitions
• Monitor development phases and entitlement processes post-closing
• Review and sign documents, plats and contracts
• Responsible for developing departmental overhead budget and controlling the budget
• Work with area municipalities and utility contractors

Requirements:

• Experience in the real estate or land development industry is needed
• 3-5 years’ experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
